An old home, having its “own” charm! Nestled in the prime location in Golf Links, Delhi, we got the privilege to refresh and rejuvenate this home eight years ago and got the experience, rich in heritage, elegance, and simplicity, blended with style. Now, with its facade transformation, the home finally feels complete!
A sleek and uniform finish is attained by replacing the ornate Jalis and metal with stucco granite textures and sharp edgings. We kept our design palette surrounding the hues of grey, dark grey, and beige, contrasted with the natural wood and metal trims for warmth and visual depth. We modernized the structure by replacing the old windows with larger, robust frames and stone-edged trims that bring in the light and offer the façade a highlighted statement. A layered, mixed-material look was created by using the contemporary materials, including metal, stone, natural wood, fiber cement panels, and HPL in veneer. A fresh harmony to the design, especially to the front guard room, is added with vertical and horizontal slat patterns.
To emphasize the architectural features, minimalist wall sconces or strip lighting are added. LED lighting is thoughtfully used to highlight pathways and landscaping. The grey tones were softened with clean pathways, planters, minimalistic gardens, and biophilic designs to create a cohesive entrance.
